All of the floors except for the upstairs bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchen were covered with seagrass carpeting. Seagrass is grass grown in China and India underwater. It is dried, formed into ropes and the ropes woven together to form a carpet.
The carpets were removed and the original hardwood floors were restored. Terry and his brother Sean, of Terry Keyes Flooring, refinished the floors and did an outstanding job.
