This is a channel 4 infrared wavelength full disk image from GOES-11. This is how the earth would appear to you if
you were wearing night vision googles. Cold areas, i.e. space, are light while warm areas are dark.
3 channels; ch1 visible, ch3 water vapor and ch4 infrared are transmitted via LRIT
